100 Followers: Thank You!

Hey guys! So last week, I got a notification that I’d reached a hundred followers, well, at the moment now, hundred and eight. Seeing that notification filled me with so many emotions, shocked and happy mostly. I wanted to write this post last week but I was so overwhelmed, I just dropped it. I went back to my first post on the blog and read it.

I was nervous and anxious back then, starting the blog again. It’s been almost six months since that post but so much has changed. Even though I don’t post regularly, I’m not usually as anxious or nervous like I used to be 4/5 months ago. I’ve actually come to love blogging again and interacting with other bloggers, I don’t think I’d ever delete the site again, even if I stop writing here (well, I hope it doesn’t happen).

I wouldn’t have gotten this far if it weren’t for the hundred and eight of you, who follow me and take out time to interact with my posts as well as other bloggers whose I posts I read, that motivate and inspire me to go on. I’m really glad I gave myself another chance at this. So, thank you, all of you. Thank you so much. I’m literally so happy right now. I hope to put out more content that’d be worthy of you guy’s time.

In honor of this achievement, I’d be answering these random questions I wrote out, that are normal for things like this, I think. Get to know me, a little more. Let’s get into it.

 1. Where are you from?

I’m from Nigeria, currently schooling here. I’d love, so much, love to travel out someday and see other parts of the world, I’m dying to. I have a bad case of wanderlust and I don’t know how long it’d be before it finally catches up with me.

2. Morning or Night person?

Both? Let me explain, I’m naturally a night person, I’ve been keeping late hours since I can remember and I actually like it but I want to stop because I don’t like sleeping off during the day or feeling tired and weak later. But, during the on-going quarantine, I’ve come to realize I actually like the mornings too, like the first few hours of it. When it’s dead silent and a little bit cold and all you can hear is the wind whistling and birds chirping. There’s this certain peace I feel at that moment that makes me wish I’d make it last forever. Welp, but that was almost 2 weeks ago, my body is back to its normal routine of sleeping past 7.

3. What are you sad about right now?

The pandemic mostly and the death of a 16 year old girl who was shot by a triggered police man just the day before yesterday in Kaduna. Her name was Tina and like so many other people who have died this year alone, she had so much ahead of her. And what’s currently going on in America at the time I’m writing this. It’s just so sad what happened and what’s happening because of it. It’s so hard for me to comprehend where all this hatred for a certain group of people with a different skin color comes from, what did they ever do? When will it stop? It’s so infuriating seeing ignorant comments on twitter and instagram about it too. I try to stay off sometimes because I don’t know what else to do at this point. I feel retweeting for awareness and signing petitions isn’t enough but I don’t know what else to do. I’m only praying that nobody else gets hurts again.

4.What are you happy about right now?

Well, the hundred and eight of you following me of course. I can’t thank you enough.

5. Favourite colour(s)?

Black, blue, red and yellow sometimes.

6. Have you made any recent changes in your life?

Yes. Exercising has been the best thing that has happened to me during the lockdown and journaling again. I’ve started journaling again this month and I hope I don’t quit doing any of these things anytime soon.

7. Favourite Author(s)?

I haven’t exactly read enough books to answer this question but, I’ve read a few books from Nora Roberts and loved every single one of them. Four of Chimamanda’s books and loved them as well.

8. Hobbies?

Huh? People still got hobbies, in 2020? When all we do is mindlessly scroll through social media trying to forget what’s haunting and taunting us? Lol, I’m just kidding. I like to paint when I’m stressed or overly happy, no in-between and I love to read books. Add watch movies into the list because I don’t know what came over me during quarantine. Writing and taking pictures of random stuff too. Do you have hobbies too?

9. Ice cream or chocolate?

Ice cream!!! I used to love chocolate, a whole lot as a kid but I think growing up means liking ice-cream more.

10. Hogwarts House?

Proud Ravenclaw here. Well, technically, I wasn’t when I took the sorting quiz almost six years ago on Pottermore. At the time, I wanted to be a Gryffindor but I later came to realize every house is unique and special in their own way.

This isn’t everything but it was fun to write. With time, I’d be sharing more about me on the blog. If you have any more questions, I’d be happy to answer them and I’d also love to get to know you guys too. Let’s talk in the comments.

Thank you again, each of you that follow me, I’m so grateful.

As always, I hope you’re staying safe.

Be safe ^__^
